Maria Singleton has over 30 years experience in counselling, leadership and management roles. Before joining LifeWorks, Maria worked in the area of short-term counselling, crisis and referral services primarily for relationship, family violence, parenting and mental health issues. Prior to this Maria lead and managed the delivery of Vocational Rehabilitation services.
Through her work, Maria has gained strong leadership skills and the capacity to guide teams, while developing practice models that improve performance and client outcomes. An experienced EAP practitioner, Maria has provided critical incident interventions including the co-ordination and management of counselling teams attending critical incidents. Maria has a strong commitment to the community and has worked in a range of challenging and complex environments, including co-ordination of the counselling team during the Arthur’s Seat Chairlift Collapse and being a member of the counselling team at the Healesville Recovery Centre during the Black Saturday Bushfires.
